Thanks Joggermom for doing the Marathon. I am back running. I have run for the last three days straight!! I totally needed the motivation.
Thank you so much for doing this virtual marathon, I hope you will do it again. It has really pushed me to do more for myself. It is great getting on your FB page and seeing what others are doing as well, it’s like a virtual sisterhood of support and motivation.
I did it! Thank you so much for the extra push to get motivated! I truly needed this competition to jumpstart my mojo. I no longer work out at a gym and without my 1 hour class a day workouts, I was at a loss on how to continue getting a decent workout. This contest just showed me, yes I can! I hurt myself during my 5/5 run, so I had to slow things down a bit, but I powered through and still made my personal goal of finishing today.
I just want to say how much admiration I have for the other moms doing this. I like knowing there are others working on the same goal and seeing everyone’s accomplishments.
I ran three miles today. Walked most but ran the last mile, knees and back are on fire. Run Keeper didn’t post for some reason. Feels great to be doing this and not quit. I have quit being a quitter!
Finished today! Thanks for the motivation. This is by far the most I’ve run in a month since before I had kids (so over six years). I’m ready to start all over.
I hope you do something like this again soon. I doubt I will win any prizes but I just feel great knowing that I accomplished a goal that I set out to do. Thanks Joggermom for helping me do that!

I just completed all 26.2 miles today. Thank you for this opportunity! It has been so much fun. I also have improved my pace which I normally don’t pay attention to. I can’t wait for next year’s race!

I am a Jogger Mom. I get some of my running in by pushing a 25 lb stroller containing a 17 lb bundle of energy for miles. The longest mileage we have put on our Bob Revolution is a 10 mile run while Chris and I were training for the Go! St. Louis Half Marathon. So when Joggermom reached out to me and asked if I wanted to participate in their virtual marathon I said heck yes! The premise is to run 26.2 miles in 31 days. Easy right?
I tried running back in 2008 but I didn’t enjoy it, got angry and frustrated, and gave up on it. In 2012 I picked it back up through the JoggerMom Marathon challenge (run 26.2 miles during the month of May). I also did bootcamp at that same time. Over 6 months, I got in shape, lost 25+ lbs., and realized that I like running.
