2012′s on sale now to prepare for Bumblerides new 2013′s

All of our 2012 Indies are now on sale. Have a color you have been eyeing for a while. I would purchase it soon as once the stock is gone it will not be replaced. What are Bumbleride Indie strollers known for?

This will be the last year Bumbleride offers the Traditional Fabric (spf 45 hood), Movement Edition Fabrics (spf 45 hood and waterproof) and Natural Edition Fabrics (blend of bamboo fabrics and spf 45 hood). All fabrics and colors will be changed to the Natural Edition fabric.

The 2013 Bumbleride is sure to please as they have lots of user friendly updates to this stroller. Here are just a few:

  • Bumper bar/Adapter bar now included
  • Longer Profile will give you greater stability at fast speeds
  • Deeper footwell to accommodate older children’s longer legs
  • All strollers now using the “Natural Edition Fabric” which is made of a blend of recycled material & bamboo material. Super soft too!
  • Jogging Strap for extra Safety (included)
  • Improved fork and metal tubing

All will be available spring in a whole new color line up too. The colors are a little darker which makes them more kid friendly. I think parents will love them just as much as the kiddos when it comes to clean up.   • Papyrus (Replaces Seagrass and is a deeper more jewel tone)

Look who has a new Double Jogging Stroller for 2013….

I am beyond ecstatic to share with you a new double jogging stroller option! Yahooo! The Baby Jogger Summit XC has always been a great stroller for taller or older children. At what age do most of us need a stroller with a high seat back? When we have a toddler or pre-schooler ages 2-5. The Baby Jogger Summit XC and now the Summit X3 both will deliver a high seat back when you need it the most. Mama’s got to get her workout in and if your preschooler is not happy it is not going to happen! Being able to look out and see what is going on in front of your preschoolers eyes is what helps both of you share a mutual bond of being outdoors and let’s you get your workout in!

Joggermom VS REI …. Buyer Beware Sales are’nt always what they appear to be….

As an on-line retailer I am faced with this question 3 or 4 times a year where a customer comes to us asking us to meet a price issued by REI because they are offering 15-20% off of their retail pricing. Let me just say their discounts are not all that they say they are. I worked in the wholesale business for 10+ years so I am no stranger to creative marketing. Fall is quickly approaching, dress appropriately!

I recently came across this article on Runners World. It is a system to help you know what to wear….Is’nt that always a question when you head out to run in the heat or cold “What should I wear?”. The “What to Wear” app. takes care of all the decision making for you. It asks you questions like the temp outside and how you like to run (cool, neutral or warm). Then it gives you pictures just in case you do not know what a long sleeve tech tee looks like…haha. Might be a better app for guys but, it is fun to see what it has to say. If only they made one that said what to wear while pushing 80 lbs of kid up hills in a jogging stroller…hmmm, maybe next time ;)

    You can run behind any stroller. The truth is yes, you can run behind any stroller but, not all strollers are created equal. For running you truly want something with an air filled 12″ or larger tire. The bigger the wheel size the easier the push. If you want a stroller to cruise the mall or travel with you might be better off with a stroller that has 6″ tires that is more compact and lightweight.

Do you really need a swivel wheel on a jogging stroller if all you want to do is run behind it?

It is funny, for the past 5+ years when most new parents would look to a new jogging stroller they would head straight to a BOB Revolution or other all-terrain stroller without hesitation.

It is interesting because although many of these new parents were already active and loved to run many thought this was the best stroller ever. All-Terrain strollers still are my favorite jogging strollers. It is just that if you are a true runner putting in many miles a day you really want a stroller that will go the distance. A fixed wheeled stroller is what you really want. A swivel/fixed wheeled front wheel will eventually shimmy back and forth from wear. It is inevitable……

Turn your jogging stroller into a travel system with ease…

Which Infant Seat can I use with my jogging stroller? This is a very important decision. What often happens is that parents will fall in love with an infant seat and cannot find an adapter to make their stroller into a “travel system”.
Having an infant seat work with your jogging stroller is important for a few different reasons. As a new parent you quickly learn you never want to wake a sleeping baby. When out for long walks your baby will often fall asleep. Never wake a sleeping baby. To do so you need an infant car seat adapter made by the same manufacture as your stroller. You then need to purchase an infant car seat that is compatible with your baby stroller. Not all infant seats will be compatible as most stroller manufactures only make adapters to work with the top selling infant car seat brands. Best Jogging Stroller 2012

The best jogging stroller for you is the one that gets used. There are lots of jogging strollers out there but, there are only about 3 I would ever really recommend to anyone. Our favorite jogging stroller for 2012 is the Mountain Buggy Terrain. The Terrain has what our other 3 offer but, it also has a few extras that are included free of charge. We like the zippered basket plus all of the following super star features.
